What types of game systems and subsystems don’t get enough love in the #TTRPG space? What would you like to see designers explore more?

I’m a kind of retro indie gamer, so my go-to examples are always Pendragon’s legacy/household system and Ars Magica’s troupe play model. There’s so much more design space to explore with those types of approaches. While Pendragon and Ars Magica both do their own thing well, the same approaches could be used for so many other things and there’s also so many other ways to approach it.

What about you? What quirky, unusual, or underused types of systems would you like to see more of?
